So what on earth is the Time Tribe?

The Time Tribe is a transmedia time travel adventure for kids aged 8-13. With an overarching story that brings players to some of human history's most exciting times and places, the experience combines serial storytelling, point-and-click adventure gaming, the best of virtual world activities, and real world quest objectives. With all content derived from actual history and archaeology, the game is designed to encourage thoughtful engagement with the common problems humanity has faced across time and space, and to foster empathy and appreciation for other ways of life in our increasingly global society.

I've loved every minute of the fifteen years I've spent working as a historical archaeologist with a PhD in anthropology. My journey has spanned dig sites, dusty archives, college and elementary classrooms, conference rooms, museum laboratories and store rooms in the US and abroad.

While I always find research exciting, I've discovered that my real passion is sharing my discoveries with others. Most of all I love kindling in young people a passion of their own for the fantastic stories and what I see as the very "real" magic in the dim recesses of our shared human experience. I have three young daughters of my own and I love watching them think and play their way through our ever more complex world, and helping them to find their own place within it.

And so I've created The Time Tribe – my latest, greatest adventure. I hope you will join us!
